This is a little late in posting, but I have to make goals to push myself out of the happy, comfortable box I'm in. I try not to "compare" my lists to others lists and I don't intend to flaunt my list - only to ask for encouragement from my artist friends. If you think I'm nuts for making such goals, well, that is fine. I'm still going to list them. My 20 art goals for 2010 are:
I will have a few hearts at the CHAC Heart Show this year. "Milagros del Corazon " will be held at the Space Gallery (across the street from CHAC) on February 13th. The doors will open at 6:00. Here are my entries.
The Home Show went really well. The house was open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It took about two weeks to take down all of the artwork that was hanging in the front rooms and replace it with pieces for sale. About 70-80 people came through the house that day to share some holiday cheer and to look through art from previous shows. Here are some photos.
Whle in Napa, I got to see some of Gordon Huether's pieces where he uses "home made" dichroic fused glass mixed with metal and other materials. One that impressed me was a shadow box with branches without bark in front of a piece of dichroic that reflected the wood in a red hue. That is hanging in the Artesa Winery.
